Lo-Melkhiin killed three hundred girls before he came to her village, looking for a wife. When she sees the dust cloud on the horizon, she knows he has arrived. Night after night, Lo-Melkhiin comes to her and listens to the stories she tells, and day after day she is awoken by the sunrise. Exploring the palace, she begins to unlock years of fear that have tormented and silenced a kingdom. Lo-Melkhiin was not always a cruel ruler. Something went wrong. – So much bravey, independence and self-growth throughout this book it gave me chills. I grew to love the fight within the characters and how many times life through so many challenges at them where I didn’t know where the book would go. It took me 5 days to finish this book after a tiring work week but I pushed through because it was a book that weighed heavy on my shoulders and kept me thinking until the end. I highly recommened this book to those who love suspence and a great emotional connection to the character. When things go wrong, the only way to save herself is nothing a reader would expect. This book is powerful to say the least.
