M.C. Frank- No Ordinary Star

5/5 review

No Ordinary Star- Part 1

People are intentionally created, instead of just happening to be born.

A solider like no other.

Felix, like anyone else born after the Second Enlightenment, hasn’t grown up in a family. The civilization of 2524 stripped from happiness and conformed to be born to be perfect. Supplements as meals and health in an icy world.

Felix is striving to be the best of his kind. He's a Citizen of the Planet, recently a lieutenant of Chairman Kun’s Intergalactic Armies, and a holder of one of the highest Intelligence Rates in the One World. But all this is put on the line for someone in need-his grandfather's work.

A woman, Astra, hunted because she's more alive than anyone. Her father was killed and she was left to die, or so they thought.

As Felix and Astra take on the world, two lives collide into one adventure for survival.

The Perennial Celebration is fast approaching and both unsure of what's ahead, Felix and Astra must decide not only their fate but also the worlds.

"Humanity has finally been able to take control of the race, the intelligence and the skills of its own population, and there is no need to leave it at chance: people are created in tubes, not hospitals."

Read M.C. Frank's first installment of No Ordinary Star to find out more.

I found M.C. Frank's Part 1 of No Ordinary star riveting and memorable.

I've never read something like this and I'm glad I have now. I would buy this book off the shelf from the cover design alone.

I was taken by the start as Felix's character gave me the impression I was with a friend the entire time. His witty and sarcastic features gave the book a good laugh and kept me intrigued throughout the novel.

Astra's character was my favorite. Her determination and loth for incompetence kept me laughing and looking forward to her next out lash on Felix.

Both the characters really tied together perfectly and gave the book a really good fixture to build on. As they learn from each other, they keep the other alive and also depend more and more on the other as the book progresses.

The storyline was complete and enticing with every word and chapter.

The descriptions of the challenges Felix and Astra face are advanced and compelling beyond measures.

M.C. Frank does an amazing job of showing character growth and develops a fast-paced storyline that flows beautifully.

I would recommend this book to those who love science fiction, a great character build and a face paced book you won't want to end.

Thank you for M.C. Frank for having me be a part of her street team of reviewers.
