Far Away
It was an earl grey morning;
The sands bled and wept
And the ocean sang its melodic tune.
The wings of this aircraft
Bent under the sadness
Of carrying me far,
Far away from you.

As a poetry-fanatic, I can say there isn't one poem I didn't enjoy and connect with in Alannah Radburn's Yellow. Her poems were powerful and full of intriguing content. The poems didn't come across as just for show but came with meaning and love.
I loved how her poetry collections were dispersed into different sections; Love and moments to cherish, anger and rebuilding. I fell in love with not only the poems but also the stories behind them as Alannah literally threw her heart into every poem-and it shows.
Allanah's poetry felt honest and you could feel the passion through every word. Her work is truly touching and really tells her story

Red Wine
You’ve stained me.
You’re red wine on my teeth
You’re red wine on the carpet
You’re red wine on my dress
You’re red wine everywhere,
Why did I wear white today?

I would definitely recommend this book to any poetry lover, book lover and someone who loves feeling the connection between the words.
