C.L. Brown shares the power of poetry through love, inspiration and understanding. - Mortal Destiny; One night the moon won’t rise The stars won’t shine but you’ll stand looking. One day the birds won’t sing The trees won’t take notice of the wind but you’ll sit listening. One morning the sun won’t rise You won’t see me when you open those beautiful eyes but you’ll lie wishing. - If you guys have been following me for a while you will know I’m not a religious person but even the poems in relationship to faith were some of my favourites. Brown writes not only with his mind but also with heart as you can feel the power in the words written and how smoothly they read. - I love how fearless the poems read to the mind and the amount of soul that resides in them. I loved the layout of the book as some poems were longer than others and the break in poems with a small quote or simple but captivating poem. Poetry can be hard to read as you have to really grasp at the readers heart and make them feel what you’re feeling- Brown did just that. His words give purpose to not only the book but also the worship of literature and charisma.

Breathe Again;
Hush darling
Quiet your heart
Still your mind
Love has a season
This wasn’t your time
The memories are beautiful
Dreams usually are
His arms grew cold
His heart lost sight
Tender touches are of the past
Slow kisses live only in yesterday
But yesterday is still beautiful
And so are you.
