4/5

Disclaimer: I was gifted this book by the publisher.

Enter an immersive world where the chosen few have the ability to summon demons...

Arcturus is just an orphaned stable boy when he discovers he has the ability to summon demons from another world. He is sent to Vocans Academy where the lost arts of summoning, spell craft and demonology are taught to the noble children of the Empire. As the first commoner gifted with this ability, his discovery challenges the nobility and the powers that be and Arcturus soon makes enemies. With no one but his demon Sacharissa by his side, Arcturus must prove himself as a worthy Summoner…

The Outcast, by author Taran Matharu, is the fourth installment in The Summoner series and prequel to the series . Taking a new approach, we are introduced to a much younger Arcturus wom is the key character in the trilogy. Being able to see the growth and adventure before the actual story was suppose to begin was a great addition to Matharu’s Summoner Trilogy. Not only was the writing and story breathtaking but I found this background story very much needed for an original Summoner lovers.

This adventure is raw, genuine and full of surprises that every reader will never forget about. I personally loved how this prequel doesn't take away from the first 3 books but only adds to the amazing trilogy and adventure.

I rated The Outcast 4/5 stars as I loved the adventure and how the twists and turns played out effortlessly. I loved the story and the characters as Taran Matharu delivered a book we love!
